As both an architect and landscape architect, Ridgway has a gift for creating beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that work to enhance life at home. With a highly collaborative approach and warm personal style, she begins each project by listening to and observing her clients. She believes everyone has something to contribute to the design process and works to draw those valuable contributions from her clients. With this deeper personal understanding, she can create spaces that reflect each client’s unique style but, on another level, always functionally support life and solve design challenges.

As a long-time Colorado resident where many homes are nestled in breathtaking natural beauty, her focus is on connecting the indoor and outdoor environments while also integrating structures with the surrounding landscape. This thoughtful connection to the site and extension of the home interior has brought joy to her clients and is the client praise she is most proud of earning.

While Ridgway has worked on an impressive range of commercial, institutional, and multi-family projects, her passion is residential work. She digs into projects of all sizes and is a true style chameleon. Often her designs complement the existing style of home, but sometimes, she works hard to break from the existing to deliver something entirely different. She has deep expertise in historic structures – all the way from Victorian homes to rustic log cabins in the mountains – and has built strong relationships with and earned the respect of the area’s many historical councils and permitting boards.

Ridgway always knew architecture was to be her life’s work. Her father was an architect and professor of architecture and planning. As a girl, she learned about design by collaborating with her father on multiple renovation projects in their family home.  She especially treasures her childhood travels and time living abroad with her family in Mexico and Spain - surrounded by amazing architecture, vast history, and foreign friends.

After studying architecture and landscape architecture in Mexico, Germany, and Arizona, Stephanie made Colorado her home and has been working there since 2001.  She is a licensed Architect and Landscape Architect in the state of Colorado and has operated her own multi-disciplinary firm since 2006. Ridgway lives in Boulder with her husband, their two daughters, and their dog. They enjoy the outdoors, a healthy lifestyle, travel, and the many adventures and rich experiences they find in all.
